the message in the story is going back to the aboriginal life and the wars that they have had but exexpt with rabits and that rabbits are populated.

Myall creek massacre
In 1838 on the 10th of june, 12 stockmen that were armed with weopons went on henry dangar’s land at Myall Creek in NSW near Bingara and and rounded up 28 innocent eldery men, women and children like animals. The were related with the aboriginal men that had a job with the station manager william hobbs. Later on that day the 12 stockmen dragged and pushed the aboriginal men behind the bush so no one would see them and slaughtered every single one of them in a harsh way. After they had slaughtered them they burnt there bodies. The attack that they had made was all organised and planned.
Later on that day william hobs had returned to Myall Creek see what has happened with the cowardly attack and to investigate the scene and the mess. After he had returned from the site he went down to the station to check on the workers and report the situation. On the 24th of june a man named frederick I. Foot who travelled to muswell brook by boat to make a news report on the tragedy. Frederick went to sydney just to write a profile of the incident so he can get the all attention of governor gipps.
After fredrick had reported the situation to the government the government sent a trial to the 12 stockmen and 7 of them were said to be hanged. After that in 2001 they made some stones made out of granite and had the stories ingraved in them.

Disease that british brought to aboriginals
Aboriginal has never experienced disease before until the british and European had came. The aboriginal people had no resistance or imunity to these diseases. Some of these diseases were carried from sailors and convicts, some of these diseases were small pox, syphilis and influenza. In about 3-6 months half of the aboriginal people living in the sydney area past away from small pox. Aboriginal people had big groups of warriors but now more then half droped dead only about a quarter would have the amuneity to it.
What the settlers had thought that the aboriginal people where related to the kangeroos, dingoes and also emus. The people who did not have the diseases would run away from the british colonies and go to a place where there was no settlement and also go to the farms around the area.
